Todmorden Agricultural Society are looking for a treasurer to join the team which brings the Calder Valley the Todm0rden Agricultural Show each June.

Show secretary Rob Goldthorpe said it was a voluntary role but a rewarding one.

“There must be someone out there who would enjoy the challenge!

“The treasurer needs to be comfortable working with figures, methodical and patient and possess a good sense of humour,” said Rob.

“You will need to be familiar with banking procedures and computer spreadsheets.“

If you are interested and want to know more, call show secretary, Rob Goldthorpe on 01706 815648.

Rob said about the event generally: “The Agricultural Society already has plans well under way for the annual show which is to be staged on June 20, 2015.

“Be sure to reserve the day in your diary as some exciting events are promised

“The show is pleased to host a new section for sheep, namely Primitive and Rare Breeds.

“It is hoped to attract some from North Ronaldsay, and include Boreay, Castlemilk Moorit, Manx Loaghton and Soay breeds of sheep.

“This will be in addition to the familiar classes that we already have.”

He added that the Main Events Ring will be fun packed with Cyril The Squirrel and his racing terrier team in action.

Show goers can also watch Elaine Hill’s sheepdog demonstration and the 3 SIXTY bicycle stunt team.
