Police close street in Huddersfield after firearm incident


Police are appealing for information following an incident where a firearm was discharged in Huddersfield.

At about 4.20pm on Sunday May 18, police were called to College Street East following reports of a firearm having been discharged.

Officers, including armed response officers, attended the scene but those involved had left the area.

No-one was found to have received any injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to trace those involved.
