Police need help tracing car used in serious assault in Bradford

Police investigating a serious assault in Bradford have released details of a vehicle they would like to trace.

The vehicle, which is believed to be an ‘04’ plate Vauxhall Vectra, is thought to have been used by two masked men who broke into a house in Heaton Park Drive at around 6.30am on Wednesday, April 9.

An altercation inside the house resulted in one of the occupants sustaining cuts to his back and shoulder which needed hospital treatment. A second man received a slight cut to his forearm.

The men, who are described as Asian, then escaped in a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra, which went towards Heaton Road.

Detective Inspector Stuart Lyons, of Bradford District CID, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed this vehicle arriving or leaving the scene of the incident.

“This happened in daylight, so it is likely that someone will have seen these men.

“We believe this was a targeted attack and local neighbourhood officers are carrying out increased patrols in the area.”

Anyone with more information is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
