Police raided an address in the upper Calder Valley in response to concerns raised by residents about a possible cannabis farm in their area.

The raid took place on Wednesday, August 7, at an address on Boardman Street in Todmorden and officers seized a number of suspected cannabis plants and growing equipment.

A man living at the address was arrested, but has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Inspector Dave Browning, from the Upper Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “You said we did... if local people tell us what’s going on, we will do the rest.

“Local people told us about their concerns about a possible cannabis farm at a house in Todmorden. Todmorden police officers attended at the address and promptly arrested a man living at the house.

“If you have concerns about your neighbourhood please call us on 101.”
