The CVSRT was contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service requesting assistance with the search for the 30-year-old who had gone missing and was in need of medical attention.

Twelve members with search dog ‘Pepper’ were deployed to the location near West Bradford Golf Club.

Neighbouring team, Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association, was also placed on stand-by.

Whilst the police helicopter searched from over head, a search area was identified and the team deployed.

Shortly after entering the woodland, Pepper with handler Ellie Sherwin (pictured) found the missing female alive, but in need of urgent medical assistance.

The remaining CVSRT members and YAS paramedics were guided to the casualty’s location and affected a swift evacuation to the ambulance.
