If you want to find out more about sub aqua, then come and see us and dive right in is the message from a local club.
For over 40 years Pennine Sub Aqua Club has been providing scuba diving experiences in Calderdale. Based at Todmorden Sports Centre, Ewood Lane, it has a small friendly dedicated group of divers and family or social members aged from 12 years to over 60 years old, said a spokesman.
The club is associated to the Sub Aqua Association through which it offers a wide range of courses that provide the skills and knowledge required for safe diving.
“If you have ever wanted to try scuba diving we offer a ‘try dive’ opportunity, we provide all the equipment and tuition for you to have a safe and enjoyable scuba diving experience.
Following on from a try dive the club provides certificated diver training course for all levels and abilities.
“If you are already a qualified diver with another training agency and want to join a local club you will be most welcomed.
“We do arrange dive trips around the UK and further afield to the Red Sea, Malta and other warmer climates!
“If you would like to find out more about our try dive, courses, dive trips or membership we have a stall on this year’s Todmorden Carnival on Saturday so please come along, support our club and have a chat.
“The club is also holding an open day on Sunday 2nd June 2, from 2pm to 4pm. All are welcome.
“You can also call in to Todmorden Leisure Centre on any Wednesday evening between 8pm and 9pm and talk to any of our members,” he said.
