On Thursday and Friday September 26 and 27, the staff and students of Todmorden High School came together for the Macmillan Coffee morning and raised a fantastic £103.11.
The sixth form approached the morning with a slightly different angle and had a bake off.
Students spent the night before, slaving in the kitchen to make some wonderful creations. They paid to enter their cake into the competition.
At break time, Mr Adam Wardman was the lucky person to be selected to be the judge. Students watched in anticipation as he tucked into all the cakes.
We think he had tips from Paul Hollywood as he commented on whether or not it was a “good bake” or had a “soggy bottom”!.
It was a difficult choice but the overall winner was a chocolate fudge cake made by Emmaline Horton in Year 13.
