Environment Agency to hold public meeting over flooding
The Environment Agency is holding a public meeting to discuss flood prevention with residents.
The meeting, organised by Craig Whittaker MP, will be held at Calder High School on Saturday, April 16 from 10am to noon.
During the event the Environment Agency will update residents on their flood prevention work along the River Calder.
The meeting will also provide local residents and businesses with the chance to have questions answered by both the Calder Valley MP and Environment Agency officers.
It will conclude with a breakout group session where residents will be able to provide feedback and comment on the plans of the Environment Agency.
Mr Whittaker plans to organise further meetings with the Environment Agency in the run-up to the publication of the full flood prevention model in the autumn.
