PEOPLE in the Calder Valley are to get their chance to say how their town or village should look in the future.
Calderdale Council is currently consulting on the draft Local Development Framework (LDF), which sets out the overall planning vision for Calderdale for the next 15 to 20 years.
Calderdale Council has arranged a meeting on Tuesday, March 8 at 7.30pm in Hebden Bridge Town Hall, so that people can have a say in shaping their communities.
Council Leader, Coun Janet Battye, said: “The people who are best placed to say how their communities develop in the future are the people who are living and working in them now.
“Planning is always a delicate balance. So we need to know how we can protect our environment while at the same time providing the jobs, homes and all the facilities that we need to make Calderdale a great place to live.”
