STUDENTS experienced a day in the life of a journalist when they took part in the BBC News Report Day.
A group of year nine pupils at Todmorden High School spent several weeks preparing a diverse mix of stories including animal welfare, the economy and how Todmorden teenagers spend their leisure time.
Rachel Lake and Amber Jacques did an investigation based on the school itself.
“We looked at the state of the school buildings, which are poor, and then compared it to the high quality results our students continue to get in spite of them,” Rachel said.
Amber said: “We really enjoyed it.
“We could work on our own and it felt very grown up.”
