Todmorden Cricket Club is getting ready to host one of the big social events of its year from September 24 to 26.
The 16th Todmorden Beer Festival will be open at the club’s Centre Vale, Burnley Road, Todmorden, ground from 5pm until late on Thursday, September 24, from noon until late on Friday, September 25, and from noon until late on Saturday, September 26.
As well as the main hall, a marquee showcasing continental beers and some wines will also be open. As usual, entry is by programme which you can buy on the door and reuse for further visits to the 2015 event, with Campaign For Real Ale members able to get free entry on production their CAMRA membership cards. Tokens are then purchased to exchange for the range of drinks on offer.
The main hall will feature 35 cask ales, with an emphasis on local brewers from Lancashire and Yorkshire, including the Calder Valley, and micro-breweries. In all 35 cask ales and five farmhouse ciders will be showcased in the main hall.
Food will be available at each session and there will be some music on Friday in the continental ales tent.
Then on Saturday evening in the main hall there will be a show by favourites the Travelling Windleburys with their mix of rock, soul, pop and blues.
