Landowners’ acres needed to help forest school

A TRUST which helps youngsters learn about the outdoors has appealed for landowners to get in touch.

The Tinderwood Trust runs Forest School which works with schoolchildren around Hebden Bridge and has recently received cash from the Community Foundation for Calderdale.

The Forest School aims to develop the communication and physical skills of children aged up to seven through creative outdoor play.

Steven Duncan, chief executive of the foundation, said: “Since receiving a grant from the foundation, the Tinderwood Trust has gone from strength to strength and now are in talks with local schools and nurseries to make Forest School a part of every child’s life, but they need Calderdale landowners’ help.”
