Local support is much appreciated at pub

CAMPAIGNERS who are trying to save a pub have thanked the community for their early support.

Angus and Anne Downie and Andre Halewood are trying to raise £320,000 to save the Dusty Miller in Mytholmroyd and said they have been overwhelmed by the backing they are getting.

Angus said “Anne and myself were shocked by the act of God which closed our business within a matter of hours but now the people power of the people who have rallied around us is truly amazing and just fantastic.”

The team’s trying to raise the money to buy the freehold of the building from owners Punch Taverns and re-furbish it.
