Looking at better bus users’ access

Calderdale Council is meeting with Metro and travel operators to discuss how bus users will be able to get better access to the proposed new central library and archive in Halifax.

They will look at a number of options which could potentially result in buses dropping off close to the door of the new facilities.

Coun Barry Collins, Calderdale Council’s Cabinet member for regeneration and development, said: “Of course we want people to have easy access to the new library and archive.

“We’ve listened to their concerns and we are meeting with Metro and operators to look at possible solutions.”
