A COUPLE, who met at Walsden Cricket Club, had a honeymoon in the Maldives after their wedding in Todmorden.
Christopher Jon Ross and Beverly Anne Clarkson were married at St Mary’s Church, Todmorden. The service was conducted by Tracy Ibbotson. The TAODS senior choir performed as the couple signed the register.
The bridegroom, the eldest son of Albert Ross, of Hallroyd Crescent, Todmorden, and the only son of Maureen Ross, of Bacup Road, Todmorden, is a postman at the Todmorden office.
The bride, the youngest daughter of Michael and Barbara Clarkson, of Hollins Road, Walsden, is an accounts assistant in Manchester.
Given away by her father the bride wore a dress by Romantica, of Devon, with a swarovski crystal studded bodice and train. She carried a teardrop bouquet of calla lilies and roses.
The bridesmaids were Leanne Marrow, who was chief bridesmaid, Claire Cochrane, Vicky Grant and Charlotte Murray, all friends of the bride and bridegroom.
They wore plum coloured floor-length dresses with diamante trim and carried hand-tied posies of roses. Jessica Clarkson, the bride’s niece, was flower girl. She wore a diamond white floor-length dress with crystal detailing.
The best man was Ryan Baxter. The ushers were Amit Sharma and Neil Sharma, friends of the bridegroom, and Daniel Welsh, the bridegroom’s cousin.
Isaac Clarkson, the bride’s nephew and Thomas Chapleo, the bridegroom’s nephew, were both pageboys.
The bridegroom has played cricket for Walsden Cricket Club for 15 years.
The reception was held at Scaitcliffe Hall, Todmorden. The couple will live in Walsden.
