The opening event of this year's Mytholmroyd Arts Festival celebrates the creativity of the village's young people with a Schools' Art Exhibition and Competition at the Ted Hughes Theatre, Calder High School on October 14/15.

The exhibition − which also features an ‘Artists of the Future’ display by children from The Ark Nursery − opens from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, October 14, continuing on Saturday between 10am to 4pm, with prize winners announced at 3pm.

Thanks to the generous support of Thomson Reuters, entrants from participating schools Scout Road Academy and Calder High will compete for top prizes of £25 for primary pupils and £50 for secondary pupils.
