A STALL to raise money for victims of the tsunami which hit Japan raised £120 at Todmorden Market last weekend.
Organiser Belle Riley said she wanted to thank all who turned out to support it despite it being a bitterly cold day last Saturday.
She said charity fundraisers were supporting another event. On Saturday, April 9, Tony Thomas of Ham Corner at Todmorden Market is undertaking a sponsored swim for Operation Smile UK, which helps cleft palates and other facial disfigurements.
On Sunday, April 10, the Pennine Animal Welfare stall (PAWS) on the market will for that day become an Operation Smile stall - items which might be sold to raise money can be left at the PAWS stall which is there on Thursdays and Sundays.
