Bethany’s form tutor, Miss Jenny Southwell, added: “Beth was a hard working student who always gave her best and was a pleasure to teach. She was a lovely member of our form. Always happy and cheerful, with a smile for everybody. If anyone was upset she was one of the first to be there to support them. Beth was generous, thoughtful and a popular member of her form with lots of friends who will miss her dearly.”

Mr Guise said that staff and students were being supported through this difficult time and the Ted Hughes theatre has been open for students, staff and the community to pay their respects.

Plans for a memorial service to celebrate Bethany’s life are also being arranged.
