COUNCILLORS have recommended approval of plans to convert a pub into a home.
Members of Todmorden Town Council’s development committee voted in favour of the application for a change of use of the Bird I’Th’ Hand, Rochdale Road, Walsden, to a residential dwelling.
Coun Andrew Hartley said: “Two or three landlords have tried to run it since it closed but it’s not really worked.
“There was the issue of cars coming off the car park. There have been some serious accidents there because it’s a fast bend.”
