FURTHER moves are being taken by safety campaigners over parking concerns outside a school.

Members of Todmorden Accident Prevention Council have been concerned over the issue, which relate to parking outside the school at peak times.

Members heard at their last meeting that there was no visible improvement in the situation and Calderdale Parking Enforcement Team visits were infrequent.

Coun Anne James agreed to contact the Casualty Reduction Partnership, who had been instrumental in getting speed camera fixed on the road, to see if they could help in the matter. They normally requested such apparatus where they considered a serious accident could occur.

Sceretary Derrick Kershaw is to contact the school’s headteacher to discuss the council’s concerns.
