There will be a read through and audition for Hebden Bridge Little Theatre’s June play, The Liver Birds, at their Holme Street, Hebden Bridge, premises on Sunday at 7.30pm.
Based on the hugely popular television series of the 60s and 70s, the play tells the amusing story of Sandra and Beryl living together in their Merseyside flat pursuing their romantic dreams whilst keeping their interfering mothers at bay.
A whole series of unusual and eccentric male characters process through their flat adding to the confusion and entertainment.
The cast required are four females, two in their 20s and two 40/50-year-olds and five men – two in their 20s, one in his 30s and two 40/50-year-olds.
The production runs from June 13-18 and Richard Brook, making his debut as a director, added: “All are welcome whether they are reading for a part, want to help backstage or just want to introduce themselves to the company.”
