Spring will be launched with a charity fashion show next month.
Upper Calder Charities Assist (UCCA) and their dedicated models will be returning to Todmorden Town Hall on March 8 and 9 to hold a Diamond Jubilee themed fashion show.
Models will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk to reveal the latest fashions in underwear, ladies’ wear, men’s wear, children’s wear and jewellery.
Many shops from around the upper Calder Valley will showcase their brand new spring collections.
UCCA’s secretary, Emma Piszkalo, said: “We are currently in the throes of putting the finishing touches to the show and are particularly excited, as the shops will be able to showcase their spring collections this year.
“Last year’s show in October was a huge success and there was a fantastic vibe on both nights.”
The fashion show has proved to be a very popular event in recent years, with audiences filling the town hall to check out the latest trends and raise money for good causes in the upper Calder Valley community.
Antony Law, UCCA’s events co-ordinator, said: “I am so grateful to all of the models, backstage helpers and technical support who have volunteered their time and effort again this year.
“The show promises to be vibrant and fun-filled.
“There will be raffles and competitions taking place throughout each evening.”
Tickets, including a complimentary beverage and light nibbles, are now on sale.
All proceeds will go to the UCCA trust fund to be distributed at the end of the current financial year.
UCCA is a charitable organisation which aims to provide aid to local people and groups in need of funds.
Launched in 2009, a number of projects and fundraising events have been undertaken to involve the local community and raise money that will benefit the lives of others.
