THE 12 Days of Todmas programme of events is in full swing with plenty of festive fun in the coming week.
Today, Thursday, marks the fifth day of Todmas and will feature bell ringing at the Unitarian Church and around town to celebrate “five gold rings”.
Todmorden in Bloom will be on hand to help people make their own gold ring during a Christmas wreath making session at the church from 4.30pm. Materials will be provided.
The day will end with candelit carols at the church at 7.30pm. There will be bells, brass, candles, stories, mulled wine and mince pies.
Tickets are available from Todmorden Information Centre.
On Saturday, the sixth day of Todmas, Todmorden Community Brass Band will play festive tunes around the market between 10am and noon.
A gospel choir will sing around the market from 1pm.
The ever popular KidsFest, which this year has a goose theme, will run in the town hall from 1.30pm until 4pm.
On Sunday, the seventh day of Todmas, an exhibition of children’s art will be opened and judged in Kafe Central, next to the market.
Free booklets containing the full Todmas programme are available at various outlets around town.
