FAMILIES are invited to try their hand at a high tech treasure hunt being held in the Calder Valley next Wednesday - the holidays are almost over, but there is still fun to be had!
The family treasure hunt will run from 11am to 3pm and is free, although you do need to book a place.
Organisers say it utilises geocaching, a high tech outdoor game, and they will be asked to use a GPS - global positioning system - to find their way to the treasure, learning more about the Rochdale Canal and its wildlife along the way.
The event is tied in with the Rochdale Canal Festival, which continues through next week.
You need to bring a packed lunch and wear suitable walking shoes.
To book places, ring Becky Houlding on 0113 2380601.
