Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, who filled stadiums with his pop anthems, is coming to the Trades Club to promote his debut solo album.
In a real coup for the Hebden Bridge club, one of rock’s most charismatic singers plays a gig with his new band Zazou on Friday, September 27, and we have pair of tickets to give away for the nearly sold out show.
Razorlight’s debut album ‘Up All Night’ shot into the charts at number three on the back of the huge hit singles ‘Golden Touch’ and ‘Somewhere Else’. Their self-titled second album went in at number one and ‘In The Morning’ ruled the airwaves, coming in at number two as the band toured relentlessly.
They finally scored a number one single with ‘America’ and they were asked to support The Rolling Stones on a worldwide stadium tour before coming home to sell out Earl’s Court.
“We’re really pleased Johnny is paying such an intimate space considering the massive venues he has played in the past,” said Trades club entertainment manager Mal Campbell. “Johnny is a consummate showman and the good news for Razorlight fans is he is playing many of his hits with his new band who are themselves a fearsome live act.”
