WORK is continuing to clear a former textile mill site on the approach to Todmorden.
Last month, a section of Cinderhill Mill’s roadside facade was demolished due to concerns for the safety of pedestrians and traffic on Halifax Road.
Residents and councillors welcomed the move but said they would like to see the rubble removed as it looked an eyesore.
Over the past few days, Halifax-based Hudson Demolition Services have been carrying out further demolition work at the site to address lingering safety concerns.
A spokesperson said: “We want to make it completely safe for the public. We are taking it down to ground level.”
There have previously been calls to pull the rest of the building down.
