It would just send more traffic through entirely residential areas

HAVING read the article regarding “safety campaigners” and their concerns over the Halifax Road crossing near the roundabout (November 3), if the flow of traffic is stemmed in any way on the Burnley Road part of the centre, traffic immediately increases on Victoria Road and Hallroyd Road.

This is an entirely residential area and the idea of forcing even more traffic over a single track railway bridge and past two children’s play areas is nonsense and leaves me wondering who starts these campaigns. Safety? Stupidty!
