WHAT an entertaining place Tod is!
We went to the Hippodrome to see ‘Dad’s Army’ which was brilliant. We were amazed at how the characters were all instantly recognisable as the ones on the television series before they even spoke! It was a great night’s entertainment.
Then at the Town Hall it was ‘The Opera Gala’ night with Todmorden Orchestra and Todmorden Choral Society. Now this may sound like a case of blowing my own trumpet because I am a member of the Choral Society, but it really was a most enjoyable performance and the soloists were not only great singers, but great entertainers too!
I feel sure that everyone who took part, in the orchestra and choir, had a good time and having spoken to a lot of people who were in the audience, they did too.
I am going to the Hippodrome again to watch my grandaughter in ‘Shade Shines’ which will showcase the talents of the Key stage two pupils of Shade primary school.
Incidentally if anyone would be interested in joining Tod Choral Society or coming along to see what we do, the new ‘term’ starts on the last Wednesday of August upstairs at Central Methodists - no auditions, you just need to be able to sing in tune!
