A-team win Shannon darts derby

SHANNON A bested the venue’s B team to lead at the Todmorden Mixed Darts Winter League.

They won 15-6 and Glen View A’s 18-3 win over British Legion saw them leapfrog Shannon B into second place.

Four Shannon A players notched maximum 180s in the derby match - B. Silvester, J. Halley, B. Jones and C. Fenton. Shannon A’s Tony Gill has most 180s in the division so far, with four to his credit.

Best A Division checkout of the day was J. Trickett’s 167 for Glen A.

Cornholme Waggon and Weavers Arms are still neck and neck at the top of the B Division, with Rope A still in the title race too.

Best checkout of the day was R. Strong’s 121 for Rope and Anchor A, with the best finish of the season being C. Inman’s 138 for Weavers.
