Boro home after their travels when new campaign starts

TODMORDEN Borough, who spent most of last season travelling, start their West Lancashire League Division Two campaign at home.

They begin at Bellholme, entertaining Walney Island from the Barrow area, who finished next to bottom last season, on August 6.

On the same day the second team open their fixtures with an away game at Burnley United.

Two days later the seconds travel to the Accrington area to play Whinney Hill in an evening fixture.

It will be the same destination for the first team on August 13 against a side who finished one position above them in the league last season.

League cup winners Borough start their campaign in the major Lancashire Amateur Shield competition on September 3 with a home first round tie against Manchester Football League Premier Division side Prestwich Heys.
