TODMORDEN Borough remain unbeaten but felt disappointed at only drawing at home.

It was a somewhat lacklustre display from the home side, who slipped into their shell after a bright start to the game.

After 20 minutes their enterprising movement and passing seemed to dry up and they conceded a goal to go into the break trailing 1 - 0.

It came after a good catch from a free kick by keeper Lee McGrath. But the ball fell from his grasp as he hit the floor with claims he was impeded. It gave a simple tap-in to a Ladybridge player.

Borough started the second half in much the same vein, dominating play, but not making any meaniful chances.

They drew level on a set piece, James Peavoy heading in Lee Earnshaw’s corner.

After that the game drifted away to a draw. But it still means that Borough have only conceded two goals, neither of which have come from open play.

On Saturday they entertain Manchester side Prestwich Heys in the Lancashire Amateur Shield in what is expected to be a close fought game.
