Battling Brighouse Town Women unlucky to go out of FA Cup in shoot-out with Huddersfield Town
A 1-1 score at the end of 90 minutes plus half-an-hour of extra-time meant the tie had to be decided on penalties with the Huddersfield women holding their nerve to edge through 5-3 in the shoot-out.
Carrie Simpson, Amy Woodruff and Annabelle Cass all netted their penalties as the shoot-out score stood at 3-3, but after Emma Dobson was unable to put away her spot kick Huddersfield made it five out of five to advance in the competition.

They took the lead in the 17th minute as Woodruff netted from the spot after Ellie White had been brought down when attempting to follow-up after Drew Greene’s effort had hit the crossbar.
Brighouse came close to doubling their lead before half-time when White hit the post after combining well with Woodruff.
The hosts hit back to level within four minutes of the second half restart, but were fortunate not to be behind again as White crashed an effort against woodwork again.
More chances followed for both sides, but the tie ended all square and had to be decided on penalties.
