GIANTS took advantage of a depleted Jacks side to win 10 - 4 in the latest series of matches in the Todmorden Netball League.
Giants took a half time lead and thoughJacks hsd renewed energy in the second half after moving a few players out of position, still did not play well enough for a win.
Rangers were convincing 17 - 6 winners over Borough Bears.
Borough played well despite missing some key players, but they could not cope with Rangers fast passes.
Windies and Jammies played out a 10 - 10 draw.
Jammies, with their usual shooter missing were always going to find it a hard fought match.
They were down 5-3 at half-time but reshuffled their players to get a draw. Windies without four regular players managed to get a team together to play the league leaders and accurate passing and good inteceptions gained them the half-time lead. In the end it was an excellent draw for Windies .
Terriers forfeited the game against Panthers due to lack of players, while Lions had a bye.
Jacks lost 10 - 3 to Lions, who only had six players but took an early lead which they never lost.
Terriers beat Bears 22 - 5 using great support from the defence to help move the ball down the court.
Bears were outplayed but their defence worked hard to stem the tide.
In a game which could have gone either way, Rangers beat Wendies 17 - 12. Windies led at half-time, but Rangers, after a team talk from captain Tina Smith, narrowed the gap and went on the win.
Giants could not cope with Jammies strong second half play and went down 14 - 8.
After an even first half Jammies forged ahead with some well won goals from Sara Coates ensuring the win.
Panthers had a bye.
