Halifax’s Paralympic and world champion Hannah Cockroft completed a winning treble at the IPC Grand Prix in Switzerland.
The 22-year-old won the T34 800m before maintaining her seven-year unbeaten run in the 100m on Saturday and then won the 200m on Sunday.
Cockcroft, also a reigning European champion, withstood the challenge of Australia’s Rosemary Little in both the 800m and 100m.
She wasn’t altogether satisfied with her Saturday performances saying she had made a few mistakes and was confident she could go faster.
Fellow Briton David Weir didn’t have such a successful weekend. The six-time Paralympic champion had a second and a third place in Nottwil behind Switzerland’s Marcel Hug.
