A record 68 Santas took part in the Todmorden Singing Santa Run last Wednesday, setting off from the Masons Arms and taking in the streets of the town.
The event is organised by Phil Hodgson of Todmorden Harriers and it attracted runners from four other local clubs.
After touring Todmorden, runners paraded through Emma and Ben Crowther’s house on Stansfield Road, much to the amusement of their children, and then completed a circuit of the park.
They then assembled outside Esther and James Logue’s house on Wellington Road for a rousing rendition of Toddie Carols before being invited in for mince pies, cakes and mulled wine.
The run back to the Masons Arms included an impromptu tour of the aisles at Morrisons. The pub made all welcome and a collection raised £210 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
