Todmorden BC hope the return of key players will help their fight for top section survival in the Halifax League.
Tod were at home to Clayton Victoria last night, hoping to avenge last week’s 10-2 defeat.
The Calder Valley side went into the contest having lost seven of their nine contests in 2015.
A 7-5 home win over Hove Edge and a 6-6 draw with green advantage against Brighouse Sports are the only bright points so far.
Although bottom of Division One, Tod were one point behind Greetland and two behind Siddal.
Tod club secretary John Hartley said the side had been hit by the absences of Keith Rudman (illness) and Robert Houghton and Richard Helliwell (both work).
Rudman is on the mend and Hartley said: “We are going to have to battle but hopefully we will soon get a full team out.”
