Todmorden will start their bid to improve on this’s year’s ninth place in the Lancashire League with a trip to Rawtenstall on Sunday, April 19.

Rawtenstall finished just above the Centre Vale side this summer so a close contest could be in prospect at the Worswick Memorial Ground.

Along with the release of the fixtures, the Worsley Cup draw has also been made. Todmorden are away to last year’s third-placed finishers Enfield on Sunday, May 10.

Tod had a bye in this year’s first round and then lost by three wickets at home to eventual winners Burnley, Kristian Garland making 79.

Andrew Sutcliffe’s side won’t see too much of their home ground in April and May. With the cup game included, seven of Tod’s first 10 games are on the road.

That means they will be keen to grab early winning opportunities against this year’s bottom two Rishton and Bacup at Centre Vale.

Tod have a run of three home games at the start of July but Accrington, Nelson and Haslingden all finished in the top half in the latest season.

Six Sundays have been kept free for the LCB Cup, which has set dates next year.

The Moorhouses 20/20 will be played in two groups of seven, beginning on Friday, May 29. Todmorden are in a group with Accrington, East Lancs, Enfield, Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall and Rishton. Bacup, Burnley, Church, Colne, Haslingden, Lowerhouse and Nelson are in the other group.

Clubs can play their games on different days, including Saturday or Sunday.

There were three groups this year and Todmorden finished third of five in Group C. Church won the competition.

Worsley Cup draw: Church v Ramsbottom, Colne v Nelson, Enfield v Todmorden, Haslingden v Burnley, Rawtenstall v Accrington, Rishton v Lowerhouse. Byes: Bacup and East Lancs. Ties to be played on Sunday, May 10.
