FORMER Todmorden man James Lambert struck bronze when he took part in the International Masters European Ski-jumping Championship in Switzerland.
James, 46, who now lives in Norway, was delighted with the result gained on the 70-metre hill.
“My first jump was not so good - trying to hard. It put me in ninth place. But the last jump was a pearl, probably one of my best jumps ever, and put me in the third place,” said James.
The nest day on the 107-metre “big hill”, he did not fare as well, but still gained a fourth place.
With a good result and a new trainer, who is really pushing him, James feels there will be good things to come in the soming winter season.
