A YOUNG Todmorden runner has his sights on the Olympics.
Seven-year-old William Wigg has only been running for six months, but is already making a name for himself.
William is in year three at Castle Hill Unior School, Todmorden, and represents the school at cross country.
He recently won through to the Calderdale Schools finals on March 17.
William, who is eight in May, started running because his dad Mark is a keen fell runner.
William attends Todmorden Harriers on Tuesday and last month had a major success.
He ran in the junior section of the Stanbury Splash at Howarth, coming in first in the under-eights section.
His prize included setting off the adult race.
While he is too young for the London Olympics his ambition is now to get to a future games.
