'˜Foxy' return for sisters

Wainsgate Chapel's 2016 concert season gets underway on Sunday, April 17 with the return of the acclaimed Carrivick Sisters - this time as part of the new four-piece band Cardboard Fox.

The sizzling sibling harmonies of Charlotte and Laura Carrivick on guitar/vocals and fiddle/vocals are joined by talented mandolin player Joe Tozer and John Breese on double bass and harmony vocals.

Cardboard Fox put the emphasis on original songs with a strong pop sensibility and energetic live shows. The band is due to release its first full-length album this spring.

Organiser Dave Nelson said: “The Carrivicks blew everyone away at the Folk/Roots picnic last year and I can’t wait to see them again with the new line-up.”

The show starts at 3pm. Tickets on the door are £10/£8/£3 for under-18s.
