Songs from around the world

You may have seen them during the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, singing their brand new, stirring Flood Song in advance of the Hand Made Parade.

Now Calder Valley Voices has arranged a Summer Concert of diverse songs from around the world.

Everyone is welcome at the charity performance in Hebden Bridge on Thursday, July 21 from 7.30pm.

All the proceeds from the concert will go to Integrate Bristol, a national charity supporting children from overseas and fighting abuses against young women; and Music & the Deaf.

The programme includes old and contemporary songs from Britain, South Africa, Spain and other parts of the world, with the Choir led by director, Carol Donaldson.

The concert is open to the public and will be held at the Methodist Chapel on Market Street, Hebden Bridge.

Tickets will be sold on the door at 7.30pm - £6, £4 for concessions and children go free - with cake and hot drinks available at the interval.

“We are open to everybody and you do not need to audition.

“The first session of the new term will be at 7.15pm on Thursday, September 8 at the Methodist Hall in Hebden Bridge”.
