Alistair himself will introduce ‘Big Rock’

Calder Valley Search and Rescue team welcome a very special guest to Hebden Bridge Picture House on Thursday, November 6, when they host the Brit Rock Film Tour.

It is none other than multi award-winning, adventure filmmaker himself, Alistair Lee.

Alistair has spent the past 20 years grafting his way to the top of his game. His genuine passion for the mountain environment is best expressed through his innovative film work and superb cinematography.

He has climbed in all seven of the world’s continents producing over a dozen adventure films, three TV commercials and is an author of seven books.

Alastair has always been at the forefront of filming techniques in adventure films and has sort out the most spectacular settings and gripping stories.

His fresh approach has resulted in a successful career receiving over 70 international awards.

His most ambitious film project to date, 2009’s The Asgard Project, has won 22 international awards and had a UK TV broadcast on Discovery’s freeview channel ‘Quest’.

He has also filmed Todmorden climber Jason Pickles in the past.

His new project for 2014 is the Brit Rock Film Tour. On the night, he will be introducing the film, bringing some signed goodies, as well as meeting and greeting the audience.

With over 300 tickets already sold, the place will be buzzing and CVRST are on course to sell out the Picture House and have a fantastic fundraising evening.
