Three artists are joining together to present a selection of their work at a gallery this month.
Work from Mike Acton and Anne and Stuart Pearson will be on show and for sale at the Platform One gallery at Todmorden Railway Station. It opens today (May 2) and runs until May 26 on days when the gallery is open - from 11am to 4pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Mike is from Halifax while spouses Anne and Stuart are from Todmorden. Mike said: “I had already booked a room for an exhibition and Anne and Stuart asked me if they could exhibit nin the other room at the same time. We thought that was a good idea and the exhibition is called ‘Triple X’,” he said.
Mike’s art includes many local scenes created using mixed media. Anne’s incorporates factual art, some produced digitally on a computer and showing interplay between art and mathematics. Stuart is a phototographer and his work includes many landscape images. There is also an open evening on Friday, May 10, from 7pm to 9pm, when there will be an opportuunity to speak to the artists.
