AN “ideal” evening of laughter is lined up for comedy fans this weekend.
Hebden Bridge Comedy Club is back with its March edition, held at the Trades Club on Sunday night.
The top line-up includes a familiar face from the TV and one of comedy’s hottest new acts.
A pro comic since his teens, Tony Burgess has been traipsing up and down the country developing tightly written gags and an instantly winning stage persona.
Tony has collaborated with Johnny Vegas, John Bishop, Stewart Lee and Steve Coogan to name just a few.
A former City Life Comedian of the Year, he is now better known as Moz’s brother, DJ Troy, in cult BBC sitcom Ideal.
Phil Ellis often utilises an old-fashioned slide projector to make off-the-wall observations and tell hilarious family stories.
His ability to think on his feet means that there is always a slight twist to his set, making each performance fresh and exciting.
Todmordian Martin Mor returns as host for the evening.
Doors open at 7.30pm with the show starting at 8pm prompt.
Tickets are priced £7 on the door or £6 online at www.wegottickets.com/event/156030.
