Antony moves to smaller scale with Friends concert

HAVING just conducted a choral and orchestral concert at St Mary’s Church, Todmorden, last weekend, Todmorden Choral Society musical director Antony Brannick now turns his attention to the smaller scale of music making for the next Antony and Friends informal chamber music concert.

Regular performers David Leys (cello) and Andrew Rostron (violin) will be joining Antony in the concert taking place on Saturday November 5 at 7.30pm in the Central Methodist Church, Bramsche Square, Todmorden.

As usual, the programme of music to be played will not be announced until the night, although Antony hints that there will be a “significant” Beethoven piano sonata amongst the music being performed. He adds that with a violinist and cellist involved a piano trio “can’t be ruled out” either!

All are welcome to attend and there is no admission charge. A retiring collection will be made. Refreshments will be available.
