Harmonies are Dunwells’ signature

In a week which features the monthly Thursday quiz and curry night and a benefit show on Saturday, the Dunwells are the main band at Hebden Bridge Trades Club this week.

Highly rated The Dunwells, preparing to release their second album, appear on Sunday, April 6 (tickets £10, £7.15pm).

Following Joe and Dave Dunwell’s two successful acoustic shows at the Trades last year, the brothers wanted to include this little gem of a venue in their 2014 UK “Light Up The Skies” tour to wow the audience with a unique blend of emotionally-driven, anthemic rock, featuring the signature four-part harmonies for which they have become known.

The Dunwells are brothers Joe and Dave Dunwell, along with cousins Jonny Lamb and Rob Clayton. Signed to Austin-based indie label Playing In Traffic. This led to a deal with the respected sub-major Concord Music Group (Paul McCartney, Valerie June, Alison Krauss). They have appeared in the U.S. on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and appeared at major festivals in both U.S. (Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bunbury) and UK (Cropredy, HMV’s Next Big Thing, The Great Escape).
