Harmonies that we'll never forget

Labelled as one of the greatest tribute acts, Bookends bring their Simon and Garfunkel concert to Halifax Playhouse this month.

Created by old friends Dan Haynes and Pete Richards, the pair are wowing audiences around the world with their multilayered theatre experience which, as well as incredibly accurate live renditions of the iconic songs like Homeward Bound, Mrs. Robinson, America, Sound of Silence, The Boxer and the unforgettable Bridge Over Troubled Water, also features images, original footage and interviews with Simon and Garfunkel themselves.

The show also features narration written by Victoria Kingston, the author of Simon and Garfunkel – The Definitive Biography.

This is not the average tribute show, the pair don’t dress up or try to act like Simon and Garfunkel but instead pay tribute to the iconic sound that the duo made. Dan and Pete, collectively known as Bookends - taken from Simon and Garfunkel’s third studio album - have toured extensively visiting prestigious venues such as the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, The Lowry in Manchester and the breathtaking Minack Theatre in Penzance.

The gig takes place Saturday November 19 at 7.30pm. Tickets which cost £15 and £14 can be boooked by calling 01422 365998 or from halifaxplayhouse.org.uk
