Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town, Hebden Bridge, is playing host to a Calder Valley band with loads of musical promise and original talent on Saturday, April 26 (7.30pm).
Leading Lights will take to the stage to draw on a number of various musical influences to create their unique interpretation of today’s folk rock genre. Echoes of Mumford and Son, The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys are apparent coupled with a mass of originality in their song writing craft.
Louis Horton and Lewis Hartley compose their unique set of original songs while playing guitars, whilst Niall Tyson is the talented drummer who plays out the rhythm in an energetic and considered manner. Joe Davey is the enigmatic singer whose vocals complete the genuinely awesome foursome.
With over 2,000 views on their YouTube Channel, purely from word of mouth, they are certainly something to look out for in the future. Follow them on twitter (@leading_lights1) and YouTube (theleadinglights) to get a real taste of their music.
Food and as usual a real ale bar are available. Admission is £2 on the door.
