This Friday sees Brighouse’s first Blues Festival hit the stage at The Millers Bar when 13 bands line up to play over the Bank Holiday weekend and raise money for Overgate Hospice as part of a season of events organised by The Blues and Soul Show.
“With highlights including Malaya Blue on Monday afternoon, nominated four times in this year’s British Blues Awards, and the Legendary Paddy Maguire Jam Sessions, the jewel in the crown of the treble British Blues Award winning Hebden Bridge Blues Festival, I’m amazed by the huge array of talent that has agreed to come and play in our town”, said Millers Bar Event Manager Lianne Brown.
“Brighouse is well and truly making its mark on the UK Blues scene, and I’m delighted that we’re able to be in the middle of it,” she added.
The weekend starts on Friday night with the Rainey Street Band.
