THE weather outside may be frightful, but the Christmas brass band concert at the Hippodrome Theatre this Friday promises to be so delightful.
After the success of last year’s performance, Wardle Anderson Brass return to Todmorden for a second year of festive fund raising. The concert on Friday, December 16 (7.30pm), promises an evening full of cheer, with all of the most popular Christmas songs to get the audience in the mood.
The programme covers twelve of the most loved favourites, ranging from traditional carols to modern classics such as White Christmas, Sleigh Ride and The Fairytale of New York, all specially arranged for a full brass band to get that full, rich sound.
The concert will be compered by the inimitable Peter Bamber and held at the Hippodrome Theatre in Todmorden.
Front of house manager Justine Sutcliffe says: “They are fantastic musicians and I can’t think of anything that sums up Christmas more than the sound of a great brass band.”
Tickets for the show are still available priced at £7 and £5 (usual concessions) from the Todmorden Tourist Information Centre (01706 818181) or online at www.todhip.org.
